"Close to the Galactic Centre, far to the North and East of Earth." The sector (based on the Galactic coordinate system, and not the UNG system) is full of some 100 to 200 star systems. The sector is believed to contain the ruins of several abandoned Protoculture colonies.
Several Zentraedi warlords are fighting for control of the sector. The largest and strongest of the warlords is Commander Renrak leader of the 3,568th Renrak Fleet.
The nearest United Nations Government worlds are small and unimportant. They are a 'significant' number of light years away in Sector 19, and slightly more than 75 light-years beyond that, the major UNG sector capital and major fleet repair yards of New Patagonia, in Sector 7.
A class G, yellow sequence star. Close to, but a 'safe' distance from the Teradai System.

The City of Fordast is on the moon of the same name. The lack of an atmosphere neccesitated a protective atmosphere shield which appears to have been breached in several places by anti-warship weaponary, the decompression would have killed everyone within the city.
A derelict Supervision Army Gunship rested silently in the dust of the moons surface some 50 miles away. The crew was long dead (carbon dating determined the crash and deaths of the crew as having been 2-3 years ago.)
The Death Angels performed a recon operation to the planet. During the operation, a Zentraedi Salan Scout ship appeared in orbit and proceeded to destroy both the Protoculture Ruins and the Supervision Army Gunship.
