Macross Frontier Archives: 3D (models) & Development Document Collection
« on: August 12, 2009, 05:50:16 AM »

Released: 2009.06.30

First two-thirds are of the VF-25 and QF-4000 Ghost Plastic Models (finished kits, construction, etc.).  Last third is line art (sadly, no notes) and some other coloured line art.  Stats are few and far between (not considering the real-world stats on model construction, etc..)

Please extend the courtesy of proper citation via linking when you quote or paraphrase this translation.

Bandai Drawing Data
authors note: there are no notes nor text descriptions of the various parts, only the name of the part.  I'm only mentioning what I consider noteworthy in the following.

Pg 77 (Armour Pack) chest armour: there are two nozzles at the front.  These could either be large manuevering thrusters or some kind of beam weapon.
chest armour micro-missile launcher: 18 missiles per launcher x2 (hand counted)

Pg 78 Main Booster: 15 missiles per launcher x2 (hand counted)
surprisingly, there's no lineart for the ball-turret beam cannon!

Pg 80 Leg Armour micro-missile launcher: 25 missiles (top), 28 missiles (bottom) x2 (hand counted)

Pg 81 Leg Armour (from the front, fighter form): looks like a single missile or grenade detail.  Could be something else.  However, given the presence of grenades on all other armour packs and the apparent lack of them on the VF-25, I'm suppositioning that this is the grenade.

Pg 84 Hip Armour: this contains what looks like a pair of single-missile missile launchers.  Perhaps they are grenade crushers?  There is a weapon port, but the inside of the armour doesn't have an entrance port.  Looks like there's a beam gun or machinegun built-into the armour part.

Pg 87: Shoulder micro-missile launcher: 23 missiles x 2 (hand counted)

Pg 88: Reaction Missile line art!  Woot!

Pg 92: (Super Pack) Leg Booster (outer face): looks like there is a micro-missile launcher built in.  Detail is similar to the missile ports on the main boosters).  There could be a weapon pallet, or an airbrake built into the part.

Pg 96-97: Ghost line art.  Sadly, no clue where any of the aforementioned weapons are located on the fuselage...
