Caption: The Factory Satellite group that composes the Zentraadi production base.  Factory Satellites differ in size according to the usage.  Satellites for such things as battleship construction have an overall length exceeding 500 km.

Fuselage Explanation:
The war potential of the Zentraadi, who didn't possess the concept of repair, was supported by an arms production system that was highly automated.  For that, Factory Satellites were scattered about in various places of the galaxy, composing one production base that gathered such things as storehouse satellites and robot ships that mined resources from the surroundings, with the Factory Satellites.  Furthermore, 20 to 50 Factory Satellites composed a group, that supplied each Zentraadi Fleet with it's combat capability.  Such Factory Satellite groups could be discovered even by mankind's emigrants from the Solar System; and at the same time as they were absorbed into the emigrant fleet's production capability, the history of the Protoculture is made known in the present time.

Operation Record
The Zentraadi Factory Satellites have continued operating since the age of the Protoculture and have been supplying arms.  Even though that full portrait still hasn't been clarified, it seems to have been a large-scale one, as there are several million that produce the Rigaado [Regult], and battleship class Factory Satellites also exist in the tens of thousands (in the "golden age" it is guessed that several hundred thousand battleship class satellites were in in operation).  Moreover, Factory Satellites that build main fleet mother-ships also exist in the several hundreds in the galaxy.  Furthermore, it is said that Mother Plant that produces Factory Satellites themselves exists in the Orion Arm of the galaxy.  However, the same as the Roikonmi Armoury that produced the Guraaji (Gluag), there are some that have been lost during the long war.

After Space War 1, the UN Forces that aimed to augment their combat capabilities, have a plan to confiscate [requisition] the Factory Satellites.  In the three seizures that took place within about half a year, more than 20 Factory Satellites were placed into the jurisdiction of the UN Forces.

The Exterior of the Factory Satellite
Though the shapes of the Factory Satellites are varied, many have a structure that connects several large and small production plants.  The size differs according to the arms that are produced.  Even though the total length of the battleship production plant is about 5 km, the total length also reached 500 km when it comes to the plants for the main command warships.  It is also possible to gather the height of the production capacity from the hugeness of the Factory Satellites.

Dock / Hangar
There is a dock-gate and a hangar to accommodate warships in the Factory Satellite, and it was used for carrying out the arms that manufactured.

Production Factory
The production system of the Factory Satellites are designed to mass-produce standardized arms, and also have such things as the function to improve the arms little by little and limited self-repair capabilities.  The production system can be changed, and besides VFs and Destroids, the UN Forces produces the likes of construction materials for the Earth's reconstruction.  Furthermore, the Megaroad class's rigging [ship's outfit, fitting-out of a ship] are also manufactured in the planets for battleships.  Moreover, it is said that Factory Satellites where the clones of Zentraadi soldiers were produced also exist.

Fold Equipment
Amongst the Factory Satellites, there were also ones that were furnished with fold equipment.  The UN Forces moved the confiscated Factory Satellites to the Legrange point between the Earth and the Moon by fold navigation, where they serviced the production system.  Also, it is assumed that there were also Factory Satellites that didn't have fold equipment, and they were stationary in regions of space where resources are abundant.

Escort Fleet

Though the Factory Satellite was equipped with defensive armaments, they were mostly used for such things as space dust removal.  For that reason, an escort fleet was deployed to some of the Factory Satellites.
