The manufacturing platform of any fleet is a place of work, and not a place for fun like some of the other colony fleet ships. A large group of people do indeed live permanently onboard the Three Star-15, and have a few of the amenities of the other ships at their disposal, but the platform is predominantly turned over to manufacturing and repairing what the fleet needs.
Numerous enormous sections of the ship are responsible for processing raw materials, and long chambers feature automated production lines. In other area's of the ship, the more delicate and individual items are manufactured in more standardised rooms. The Three Stat-15 is a rough and ready place, with many dangers to the uneducated and unwary. However it is an essential part of the Fleet, and necessary to its survival.
Interior Design
Three Star platforms are massive manufacturing plants, and are for utilitarian purposes. As such they are not the prettiest places in the Fleet. They are often dark and grimy in the furnace chambers, and quite the opposite in the final preparation and macro scale production sections where everything is clean and white walled.
